Technology is supposed to make our lives and our jobs easier, but just when you get used to something - where the buttons are, what’s in the menus, what the ’short-cuts’ look like - it all changes; throwing us into a turmoil of frustration and time wasting.

It is FlyingSparkes’ aim to help people understand and better use their computers, laptops and other similar devices. To get to grips with a new system or programme - such as Windows Vista or Linux -, or even to just find out what a particular acronym means (what’s a USB, for example?). This site will be building up resources - pages, videos, images and explanations - so that you can use it as a quick stop, plain English (at present) dictionary or Library.
